FIFA Announces Record Rs 21 Crore Prize for Inaugural Women’s Champions Cup Winners

Winning club to receive $2.3 million in historic payout for first-ever intercontinental women’s club tournament.

FIFA has unveiled a groundbreaking prize structure for the inaugural FIFA Women’s Champions Cup 2026, awarding the winning club a record-breaking $2.3 million (approximately Rs 21 crore). This marks the highest single payout ever in women’s club football, signaling a major boost for the growth of the women’s game globally. The tournament, featuring continental champions, culminates in London with semi-finals and the final set to captivate fans worldwide.

The competition brings together top club teams from each confederation, including champions from UEFA, CONMEBOL, AFC, CAF, CONCACAF, and OFC. The final phase takes place in late January and early February 2026, with matches at prestigious venues, including Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium hosting the decisive games. The runners-up will earn $1 million, while losing semifinalists receive $200,000 each, contributing to a total prize pot of nearly $4 million distributed among the six participating clubs.

This initiative follows earlier qualifying rounds held in 2025, building toward a landmark event that crowns the first intercontinental women’s club champions. FIFA’s announcement emphasizes its commitment to elevating women’s club football, with the substantial prize money described as “a clear statement of belief” in the sport’s potential. The tournament also features a newly unveiled trophy, adding to the excitement surrounding the competition.
