Dybala And Malen Fire Roma to Convincing 2-0 Triumph at Torino

Paulo Dybala ends three-month goal drought with strike and assist in Roma's 2-0 away win; Fiorentina dedicate emotional triumph to late owner.

Paulo Dybala delivered a decisive performance as AS Roma strengthened their push for a UEFA Champions League place with a 2-0 victory over Torino in Serie A on Sunday. The Argentine forward scored once and provided an assist, helping Roma secure their third consecutive league win and consolidate fourth position in the standings.

Dybala opened the scoring influence midway through the first half by setting up new signing Donyell Malen for a composed close-range finish. Malen, who joined Roma on loan from Aston Villa just days earlier, marked his debut with a goal, giving the visitors early control of the contest at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.

The Roma talisman then sealed the result in the 72nd minute with a moment of individual quality. Latching onto a precise cross from Devyne Rensch, Dybala guided the ball into the net with a trademark finish. The goal was his first in nearly three months and underlined his growing influence as Roma enter a crucial phase of the season.

The win lifted Roma to 42 points, reinforcing their hold on fourth place and keeping them firmly in the Champions League qualification race. Head coach Daniele De Rossi’s side has shown renewed consistency in recent weeks, with improved attacking cohesion and defensive solidity proving key to their upward momentum.

Elsewhere in Serie A, Fiorentina recorded a 2-0 win over Bologna in an emotionally charged encounter held in tribute to club owner Rocco Commisso, who passed away recently. The victory allowed Fiorentina to honour Commisso’s legacy on the pitch, while Roma’s success ensured that the battle for European places remains intense as the season approaches its decisive stages.
