Aditi Ashok Stuns with Career-Best 6th Place Finish at Portland Classic!

Aditi Ashok secures her best LPGA finish of 2025 with a stunning sixth place at the Portland Classic.

Indian golf star Aditi Ashok achieved her best finish of the 2025 LPGA season, clinching sixth place at The Standard Portland Classic held at Columbia Edgewater Country Club. Ashok’s final round of 5-under-par 67 contributed to her impressive total score of 17 under par (69-70-65-67), marking only her second top-10 finish this year. Her final round featured seven birdies offset by two bogeys, showcasing her consistency and skill.

Indian-American golfer Gurleen Kaur also made headlines, securing a career-best second place with a total score of 20 under par (65-68-70-65). Kaur’s final round of 7-under-par 65 placed her just four strokes behind the champion, Japan’s Akie Iwai. Indian-Canadian Savannah Grewal finished tied for 38th with a total of 7 under par (69-67-72-73).

Akie Iwai claimed her maiden LPGA title with a commanding performance, finishing at 24 under par (67-67-64-66). Her bogey-free final round of 6-under-par 66 sealed a four-stroke victory. Iwai’s win adds her to an elite group as part of the fourth sibling duo to win on the LPGA, following her twin sister Chisato Iwai’s victory at the Mexico Riviera Maya Open earlier this year. Chisato finished tied for third at Portland alongside Sweden’s Linn Grant, posting a total of 19 under par.
