FC Cincinnati Explore Neymar Transfer From Santos Ahead Of MLS Move

Major League Soccer side FC Cincinnati have initiated early discussions over a potential high-profile move for Brazilian forward Neymar, with reports indicating the club is exploring the feasibility of bringing the Santos star to the United States. According to ESPN, citing a source, the MLS outfit has begun internal evaluations and preliminary contact to assess whether the deal could be structured.

The report states that FC Cincinnati has reached out to representatives of the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain attacker to gauge his interest in a possible switch to MLS. The conversations are understood to be in an exploratory stage, focusing on whether Neymar would be open to such a move and what type of financial arrangement would be required for a marquee signing of his profile. The Athletic has also reported Cincinnati’s interest in the 32-year-old forward.

Neymar is currently under contract with Santos until the end of 2026, having extended his stay by one year in December. Any potential transfer would therefore require complex negotiations, particularly given the financial demands associated with one of football’s most recognisable global stars.
