Former India wicketkeeper-batter Parthiv Patel gave a fitting response to a social media troll after his Indian Premier League record was questioned online. Parthiv now known for his commentary and analysis, was targeted by an X user who claimed that he had never won a Player of the Match award during his IPL career. Patel, however, quickly corrected the claim with a short but sharp response.
Reacting to the misleading post, Parthiv replied, “Sorry to disappoint.” His witty comeback quickly gained attention among cricket fans, many of whom praised the former cricketer for shutting down the false statement in a calm and classy manner. The exchange soon went viral, with users applauding Patel’s sense of humour and confidence.
Parthiv enjoyed a long professional career and made his international debut for the India national cricket team in 2003. Across formats, he played 25 Tests, 38 ODIs and two T20 Internationals, scoring 1,706 runs. He was known for his fighting attitude, useful batting contributions and versatility as a wicketkeeper during different phases of Indian cricket.
