The Indian Premier League (IPL) continues to strengthen its position as one of the most-watched sporting properties globally, with official broadcaster JioStar reporting strong growth in both television and digital viewership during the ongoing season. According to the broadcaster, the tournament has achieved a combined reach of 1.1 billion across platforms so far, driven by intense competition and high fan engagement.

The company stated that digital consumption has seen notable expansion, with a 15% rise in reach and a 7% increase in watch time compared to the previous season. Connected TV (CTV) viewership has also grown significantly, recording a 25% increase in reach and a 20% jump in watch time, reflecting changing consumption patterns among sports audiences.

JioStar officials credited the sustained growth to the competitive nature of the tournament, which has kept playoff qualification scenarios open deep into the season. They noted that the unpredictability of results has contributed to consistent week-on-week increases in audience engagement across both television and digital ecosystems.

The broadcaster also highlighted increased advertiser participation this season, with 125 new brands joining the platform. Additionally, 22 sponsors have partnered on digital platforms and 16 on linear television, reflecting the IPL’s continued commercial strength.
