Speaking after the heavy defeat, Pandya acknowledged that Mumbai Indians fell short in multiple departments, including batting intent, bowling discipline, and fielding standards. He admitted that the team failed to adapt to match conditions, allowing Chennai Super Kings to dominate key phases of the game and build an insurmountable advantage.

Pandya pointed out that early setbacks with the bat disrupted Mumbai’s game plan, leading to a lack of momentum through the middle overs.
