Dishant Yagnik Named KKR Fielding Coach for IPL 2026 Season

KKR strengthens support staff with Dishant Yagnik as fielding coach for IPL 2026.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have appointed former wicketkeeper-batter Dishant Yagnik as the team’s fielding coach ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. KKR stated that Yagnik would bring a wealth of experience and a sharp eye for fielding excellence to the squad as the franchise prepares to compete with a revamped support staff.

The new-look coaching unit will be led by head coach Abhishek Nayar, with DJ Bravo serving as mentor, Shane Watson as assistant coach, Tim Southee as bowling coach, and Andre Russell as power coach. Yagnik’s addition is expected to strengthen the team’s fielding standards and overall on-field performance.

Yagnik, who played domestic cricket for Rajasthan and made 25 IPL appearances between 2011 and 2014, has continued his involvement in the IPL as a fielding coach across several seasons. His transition to KKR marks an important step in his coaching career, providing him with an opportunity to guide a franchise aiming for IPL success.
