Abhishek Sharma Smashes Record Knock As Shashank Singh Turns Game With Double Strike

In an ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 clash at the New Chandigarh stadium, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) made a strong start against Punjab Kings (PBKS) before a double strike from bowler Shashank Singh shifted momentum back in favour of the home side. The match has seen rapid scoring at the top, followed by a sudden collapse that has brought renewed tension into the contest.

SRH opener Abhishek Sharma delivered a sensational knock, reportedly reaching 74 runs in a blistering innings that included aggressive stroke play and early dominance over the PBKS bowling attack. His partnership with fellow opener Travis Head set the tone for a high-scoring innings before PBKS managed to break through.

The turning point came when Shashank Singh removed both Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma in the same over, halting SRH’s momentum after a record-breaking start. His breakthroughs brought Punjab Kings firmly back into the contest after the visitors had looked set for a commanding total.
