Following the double strike, SRH were left with wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan and power-hitter Heinrich Klaasen at the crease, tasked with rebuilding the innings and maintaining the scoring rate in the middle overs.
Earlier in the match, PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bowl first. Punjab made one change to their playing XI, bringing in Priyansh Arya in place of Nehal Wadhera, while SRH made a couple of adjustments, including the inclusion of Salil Arora and Praful Hinge.
In a notable selection decision, SRH left out England all-rounder Liam Livingstone, despite his high-value acquisition in the auction. With both sides now in a tightly contested battle, the match remains finely poised as Punjab look to restrict SRH and limit further damage in the death overs.
