T20 WC 2026: Top Batters, Bowlers and Teams Ranked Before India vs England Semifinal

Farhan leads run scorers, and Van Schalkwyk tops wickets as the T20 World Cup 2026 nears conclusion.

The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 is nearing its conclusion after the first semi-final in Kolkata, with only one more semi-final and the final remaining in what has been a thrilling edition of the global cricket tournament. The competition has produced several standout individual and team performances, with players from across participating nations dominating the batting and bowling charts. The tournament has also delivered dramatic upsets, including a shock semi-final defeat for the South African national cricket team despite their strong run earlier in the event.

Among the tournament’s top performers with the bat, Sahibzada Farhan of the Pakistan national cricket team leads the run-scoring charts with 383 runs in seven innings. His impressive tally includes two centuries and a strike rate exceeding 160, making him one of the standout performers of the competition. Other leading batters include Brian Bennett of the Zimbabwe national cricket team with 292 runs and Finn Allen of the New Zealand national cricket team with 289 runs, both contributing significantly to their teams’ campaigns.

In the bowling department, Shadley van Schalkwyk of the United States national cricket team has emerged as the leading wicket-taker with 13 wickets in just four matches. Close behind him is Zimbabwe’s fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani, who has also taken 13 wickets but in six matches. Other notable performers with the ball include Lungi Ngidi of South Africa and Varun Chakravarthy of the India national cricket team, both of whom have taken 12 wickets in the tournament so far.

In terms of team performances, South Africa recorded the most wins in the tournament despite their semifinal exit. Led by captain Aiden Markram, the side won all four of its group-stage matches and each of its three Super 8 games before suffering defeat in the knockout stage. The England national cricket team and India also delivered consistent performances, each registering six wins from seven matches, placing them among the strongest contenders for the title.

The tournament has also witnessed some remarkable individual innings. Yuvraj Samra of the Canada national cricket team currently holds the record for the highest individual score with a brilliant 110 off 65 balls against New Zealand in Chennai. Other memorable centuries include a rapid unbeaten 100 from Finn Allen against South Africa and a century by Harry Brook for England against Pakistan.

Bowling performances have also played a decisive role in several matches. The best figures recorded in the tournament so far belong to Romario Shepherd of the West Indies national cricket team, who delivered a match-winning spell of 5 for 20 against the Scotland national cricket team in Kolkata. With the tournament now approaching its final stages, cricket fans around the world are closely watching to see which players and teams will finish the competition as champions in one of the most competitive editions of the T20 World Cup.
