Pakistan booked the final Super Eight berth on Day 12 of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, while India and South Africa maintained their unbeaten runs to finish the group stage strongly. The day featured decisive results across venues, confirming the final lineup for the tournament’s next phase.
South Africa continued their dominant campaign with a comfortable chase against the UAE. A sharp spell of 3/12 from Corbin Bosch helped restrict the UAE to 122/6, despite a fighting 45 off 38 balls from Alishan Sharafu. The Proteas lost four wickets in reply but reached the target in just 13.2 overs, completing a perfect group-stage record with four wins from four matches.
The most crucial fixture took place in Colombo, where Pakistan needed victory over Namibia to advance. Opener Sahibzada Farhan led the charge with an unbeaten 100 off 58 balls, powering Pakistan to 199/3. Namibia never threatened in the chase and were bowled out for 97, with Usman Tariq (4/16) and Shadab Khan (3/19) starring with the ball to seal qualification.

Meanwhile in Ahmedabad, India defeated the Netherlands in a high-scoring encounter. A blistering 66 off 31 balls from Shivam Dube and a quick 30 from Hardik Pandya lifted India to 193/6. The Netherlands mounted a spirited chase but fell short at 176/7, allowing India to finish the group stage unbeaten alongside South Africa.
