The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) unveiled a hefty cash prize of Rs 58 crore on Thursday for the Indian cricket team following their stellar victory at the ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai earlier this month.

Led by captain Rohit Sharma, India clinched their third title in the tournament, overcoming New Zealand by four wickets in a thrilling final.

The generous reward will be distributed among the players, coaching staff, support crew, and the men’s selection committee, chaired by Ajit Agarkar, though the BCCI did not specify individual allocations.

BCCI president Roger Binny praised the team’s achievement, stating, “Securing consecutive ICC titles is a remarkable feat, and this reward honors Team India’s unwavering commitment and world-class performance.”
