Pandya Brothers at Five Titles Each: Krunal Opens Up on Cricket Conversations With Hardik

Krunal Pandya's fifth IPL title with RCB equals brother Hardik's career trophy count.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru all-rounder Krunal Pandya has reflected on his close relationship with younger brother Hardik Pandya after helping RCB secure a second consecutive Indian Premier League (IPL) title. Krunal played a key role in the franchise’s successful title defense, adding another championship to his already impressive IPL record and further cementing the Pandya brothers’ status among the league’s most successful players.

Speaking about their bond, Krunal said that having a sibling who plays the same sport has always been an advantage. He noted that the brothers frequently discuss tactical and technical aspects of cricket, helping each other improve over the years. According to Krunal, their conversations have consistently focused on learning, growth, and understanding the game better, both at the domestic and international levels.

Krunal also highlighted the remarkable trophy haul accumulated by the family, pointing out that he and Hardik now possess a combined total of 10 IPL titles. He described the achievement as a blessing and credited their shared passion for cricket as a major factor behind their sustained success. The brothers have often been seen supporting each other on and off the field throughout their careers.

The Pandya brothers first tasted IPL success together with Mumbai Indians. Hardik was part of the squad that won the title in 2015, while Krunal joined the franchise the following season. Together, they played significant roles in Mumbai’s championship-winning campaigns in 2017, 2019, and 2020, becoming key figures in one of the IPL’s most successful eras.

Their paths later diverged when Hardik left to captain the Gujarat Titans, leading the team to a title in its debut season and another final appearance the following year. Krunal, meanwhile, spent three seasons with Lucknow Super Giants before joining Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2025.

Since moving to RCB, Krunal has been instrumental in the franchise’s back-to-back championship victories. His latest success means both brothers now have five IPL titles each, placing them among the most decorated players in the tournament’s history. While Hardik endured a difficult season with Mumbai Indians, Krunal’s achievements have ensured that the Pandya family’s remarkable IPL legacy continues to grow.
