Pakistan Cricket Star Caught Without Seat Belt By Traffic Police In Viral Incident

Pakistan cricket star stopped by traffic police for not wearing seat belt.

Irfan Khan, Pakistan’s batting all-rounder, was briefly involved in a light-hearted exchange with traffic police after being stopped for not wearing a seat belt, a video of which has gone viral on social media. The incident reportedly took place while the player was travelling in a private vehicle.

In the clip, a traffic police officer approaches the front seat and informs Irfan Khan about the violation, asking whether he should be fined for not following road safety rules. The interaction, initially formal, soon turns casual after the officer recognises the cricketer, leading to a brief friendly conversation between the two.

The officer is seen asking Irfan about his recent performances and also inquiring about his team’s campaign in the Pakistan Super League 2026 season. The exchange reportedly ended without escalation, with the situation being handled in a cordial manner after the identity of the player was confirmed.

Irfan Khan, who has represented Pakistan in international cricket with appearances in both ODIs and T20Is, has been part of the Hyderabad Kingsmen setup in the PSL. His team recently finished as runners-up in the tournament after a strong campaign that saw them reach the final.

The PSL 2026 final was won by Peshawar Zalmi, who defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. All-rounder Aaron Hardie starred in the final with both bat and ball, taking four wickets before scoring an unbeaten half-century to guide his team to victory.

Hyderabad Kingsmen had entered the final after a strong comeback in the tournament, recovering from a poor start to eliminate former champions along the way. However, they were restricted to a low total in the final, which Peshawar chased comfortably to secure their first PSL title since 2017.
