Mohsin Naqvi Celebrates Pakistan's Dominant U19 Asia Cup Win Over India

Mohsin Naqvi smiles as Pakistan U19 defeats India by 191 runs to win Asia Cup 2025.

The U19 Asia Cup 2025 final in Dubai turned into a one-sided affair as Pakistan outplayed India in all departments to clinch the title. Batting first after being sent in, Pakistan posted a massive total of 347 for 8, putting India under immense pressure from the outset. The scale of Pakistan’s dominance made the final a showcase of their depth and preparation at the junior level.

Pakistan’s innings was headlined by a sensational knock from Sameer Minhas, who scored a blistering 172 off 113 balls. The innings marked the highest individual score by a Pakistani batter in Youth ODIs and laid the foundation for the team’s imposing total. Minhas was well-supported by the middle order, ensuring Pakistan maintained momentum throughout the innings.

In response, India’s batting lineup collapsed under sustained pressure from Pakistan’s pace attack. Fast bowlers Ali Raza, Mohammad Sayyam, and Abdul Subhan wreaked havoc, sharing eight wickets between them. India were bowled out for just 156, falling short by a staggering 191 runs in a chase that never gained momentum.

Naqvi was seen smiling in the stands as Pakistan closed in on victory, particularly when India were nine wickets down. His visible reaction quickly became a talking point on social media.

After the match, Naqvi joined the victorious Pakistan players for a celebratory victory lap around the ground. He also greeted fans near the boundary line, soaking in the atmosphere following Pakistan’s emphatic triumph. As ACC chairman, he was scheduled to present the trophy to the winning side, marking a proud moment for Pakistan cricket.

Naqvi’s presence in high-profile Asia Cup finals has drawn attention in recent years. More recently, he was seen celebrating on the field while presenting the trophy to Pakistan Shaheens after their Rising Stars Asia Cup victory in Doha, underlining his continued visibility at major regional cricketing events.
