Kuldeep Postponed His Own Wedding to Win The T20 World Cup — Now He's Married
Kuldeep Yadav weds childhood friend Vanshika Chaddha in Mussoorie star-studded ceremony.
Kuldeep Yadav recently shared an emotional message on social media after marrying his childhood friend Vanshika Chaddha. The Indian cricket team spinner tied the knot in a private yet star-studded ceremony held in the scenic hill town of Mussoorie on March 14, 2026. Soon after the ceremony, Kuldeep posted pictures from the wedding on Instagram with the caption, “Our Forever begins now. 14.03.2026,” which quickly went viral across social media platforms.
The wedding celebrations were hosted at the luxurious Welcomhotel The Savoy, which was reportedly booked for several days to accommodate guests and wedding functions. The event was attended by several current and former cricketers, including Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Suresh Raina. Pictures shared by the players showed the couple dressed in coordinated traditional outfits, which became widely shared online.
Several videos from the wedding festivities also circulated on social media. One viral clip showed Kuldeep and Vanshika walking together hand-in-hand while fireworks lit up the background, creating a dramatic moment during the celebrations. Photos from the colourful Sangeet ceremony held a day earlier also attracted attention from fans and cricket followers.

According to reports, the couple has known each other since childhood. Both are originally from Kanpur and reportedly grew up just a few kilometres apart. They got engaged last year at a hotel in Lucknow. Vanshika currently works as an employee with the Life Insurance Corporation of India.
The wedding had earlier been planned for November 2025 but was postponed as Kuldeep wanted to focus on helping India national cricket team during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. Although India had a successful campaign, Kuldeep played only one match in the tournament, taking 1/14 against arch-rivals Pakistan national cricket team in the group stage. After the wedding celebrations, many players are expected to shift their focus back to cricket as preparations begin for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2026 season.
