Jasprit Bumrah’s Funny ‘Phir Se Haar Gaya?’ Comment To Suryakumar Yadav After Toss Loss Goes Viral
Jasprit Bumrah trolls Suryakumar Yadav with “Phir se haar gaya?” after another toss loss.
A hilarious moment between Team India skipper Suryakumar Yadav and star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has taken social media by storm after India lost yet another toss against Australia in the fifth and final T20I on Saturday. As Australian captain Mitchell Marsh once again called correctly, Bumrah couldn’t resist teasing Suryakumar with a cheeky remark that left both players laughing on the field.
As the coin fell in Australia’s favour, Bumrah was caught on camera asking Suryakumar, “Phir se haar gaya?” (You lost again?). The question drew smiles from both cricketers, with Suryakumar responding by gesturing that India would be batting first. The humorous exchange quickly went viral among cricket fans, who appreciated the camaraderie and good spirits within the Indian camp despite repeated bad luck at tosses.
India’s struggle with tosses has been a recurring theme throughout the Australia tour. Shubman Gill lost all three tosses in the ODI series, while Suryakumar managed to win only one out of five in the T20Is. Despite the toss woes, the Men in Blue clinched the five-match T20 International series 2-1 after the fifth game was abandoned due to heavy rain at the Gabba.

Before the downpour halted play, India had made a strong start with openers Abhishek Sharma (23 not out) and Shubman Gill (29 not out) putting up 52 runs in just 4.5 overs. Australia missed two easy chances to dismiss Abhishek early — first when Glenn Maxwell dropped a simple catch, and later when Ben Dwarshuis failed to hold on to another opportunity.
With the final T20I washed out, India sealed the series following back-to-back wins in the third and fourth matches after splitting results in the earlier games. The light-hearted Bumrah-Suryakumar exchange offered a fitting reminder of the team’s spirit as India wrapped up a memorable tour Down Under.
