India vs England 2nd ODI Live: India Lose Two Early Wickets
India face early collapse as Kohli nears fifty.
India faced early trouble in the second ODI against England at Cardiff as two quick wickets put pressure on the visitors during their innings. Despite the setbacks, Virat Kohli remained steady at the crease and moved closer to another half-century as India looked to rebuild their innings.
India reached 118/3 after 22 overs, with Kohli and Shreyas Iyer batting together. The experienced Indian batter played a composed innings, anchoring the team after the dismissal of key players. His presence provided stability as India attempted to recover from a difficult phase in the match.
The Indian innings suffered a setback when captain Shubman Gill was dismissed for 31 after failing to convert a promising start into a bigger score. Soon after, Rohit Sharma also departed after getting an early reprieve when he was dropped. The opener could not make the opportunity count and lost his wicket, adding further pressure on the Indian batting lineup.

Ishan Kishan, brought into the playing XI as a replacement for KL Rahul, also failed to make a significant impact and was dismissed shortly after Rohit. India lost two wickets within a span of seven runs, allowing England to regain control of the contest during the middle overs.
England captain Harry Brook won the toss and elected to bowl first, putting India into bat. The visitors made a major change to their lineup as KL Rahul missed the match due to illness, with Ishan Kishan taking his place. England also made two changes, bringing in Saqib Mahmood and Gus Atkinson while leaving out Liam Dawson and Josh Tongue.
The second ODI comes after England took a 1-0 lead in the series with a convincing six-wicket victory in the opening match. India are aiming to level the series, while England will look to maintain their advantage with another strong performance in Cardiff.
