India A Enter Rising Stars Final After 5-Wicket Win Over Sri Lanka A

India A thrash Sri Lanka A by five wickets in semifinal, led by all-round heroics of Radha Yadav.

India A Women secured a convincing five-wicket victory over Sri Lanka A Women to enter the final of the ACC Women's Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 at the Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok on Friday. Captain Radha Yadav was the standout performer, excelling with both ball and bat to guide her team to a comfortable win.

Electing to field first, India A’s spin quartet dominated Sri Lanka A’s batting lineup. Radha Yadav led the attack with remarkable figures of 4/19 in just 3.4 overs, supported by Prema Rawat (2/9), Tanuja Kanwar (2/21), and Minnu Mani (1/21). Sri Lanka A struggled to build partnerships and were bowled out for 118 in 19.4 overs.

Chasing a modest target of 119, India A lost an early wicket as Nandini Kashyap was dismissed for 13. However, Vrinda Dinesh (42 off 20 balls) and Anushka Sharma (27 off 18 balls) stitched a crucial 48-run partnership to stabilize the innings and set the platform for a smooth chase.

Despite the fall of a couple of wickets in the middle overs, Radha Yadav remained unbeaten, scoring 31 off 18 balls to seal the victory in just 13.3 overs. Her all-round performance was instrumental in ensuring India A reached the final with five wickets in hand.

With this win, India A will face either Bangladesh A or Pakistan A in the final scheduled for February 22. The semifinal showcased the depth of talent in India’s rising women cricketers, particularly highlighting Radha Yadav’s ability to influence games with both bat and ball.
