IND vs ENG 1st ODI: Gurnoor Brar's Send-Off To Duckett Ignites 1st ODI Fireworks
Gurnoor Brar's fiery celebration after dismissing Ben Duckett goes viral online.
India fast bowler Gurnoor Brar produced one of the standout moments of the opening ODI against England at Edgbaston after dismissing opener Ben Duckett following a brief on-field exchange between the two players. The incident occurred during England's innings on Tuesday and quickly gained attention on social media, with videos of Brar's animated celebration circulating widely. The wicket came at a crucial stage of the innings as India looked to tighten its grip on the contest.
The rivalry began in the eighth over when Duckett launched an aggressive attack on Brar, striking the left-arm pacer for a boundary and a six off consecutive deliveries. On the fifth ball of the over, Duckett defended the ball back to the bowler, prompting Brar to collect it and throw sharply towards the stumps at the striker's end. Although the ball did not hit the batter, Duckett responded with a smile, bringing a touch of intensity to the contest between the two players.
Brar eventually had the final say in the 13th over when Duckett attempted another attacking stroke but was dismissed for 43. Jasprit Bumrah completed an excellent catch near the boundary rope to end the England opener's innings. Brar celebrated the breakthrough passionately in front of Duckett, reflecting the emotions built up during their earlier exchange. The send-off immediately became one of the most talked-about moments of the match.

Brar's crucial wicket and India's disciplined bowling performance helped the visitors maintain pressure on England as they sought to take an early advantage in the series.
