ICC Announces February Women’s Player of the Month Nominee: Arundhati Reddy
India’s Arundhati Reddy nominated for ICC Women’s Player of the Month for February after strong T20I series.
Indian pacer Arundhati Reddy has been named among the three nominees for the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for February, following her stellar performance in India’s T20I series win over Australia. Reddy emerged as the top wicket-taker in the three-match series, claiming eight wickets at an average of 10.87 and maintaining an economy rate of 7.25.
The right-arm seamer delivered consistently impactful spells across all matches, recording figures of 4/22, 2/30, and 2/35. Her match-changing contributions were instrumental in keeping Australia’s batting lineup under pressure and helped India clinch the series 2-1.
Elsewhere, Sri Lanka’s top-order batter Harshitha Samarawickrama had an outstanding ODI series in the Caribbean, guiding her team to a 2-1 series victory over the West Indies. The left-handed batter amassed 171 runs in three ODIs at an average of 57.00, scoring 66, 35, and 70 across the matches. Her consistent performance earned her the Player of the Series award.

Pakistan captain Fatima Sana also impressed with both bat and ball during her team’s tour against South Africa. In the T20I series, she finished as the top scorer with 146 runs at an average of 73.00 and a striking rate of 184.81, including a remarkable 90 in the opening match. Sana also contributed with the ball, taking four wickets in ODIs and two in T20Is, and earned the Player of the Match award for her all-round display in the third T20I.
The ICC Women’s Player of the Month award recognises individual excellence in women’s international cricket across formats. Reddy, Samarawickrama, and Sana have been nominated for their performances during February, highlighting their impact in recent bilateral series.
The winner will be announced later this month, with fans and cricket experts eagerly awaiting the decision to celebrate the outstanding contributions of these players to women’s cricket on the global stage.
