Auqib Nabi Named in India Test Squad as Bumrah's Replacement

Jammu and Kashmir fast bowler Auqib Nabi has earned his maiden call-up to the Indian Test team after being named as the replacement for injured pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah for the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the change on Monday ahead of the two-match series, which begins on August 15. Nabi's inclusion comes after consistent domestic performances over the past two seasons, making him one of the country's most promising pace bowlers.

The 29-year-old pacer from Baramulla becomes only the second cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir to represent India's senior men's national team after Parvez Rasool.
