Arjun Tendulkar Reveals He Has No Cricketer Friends and Finds Peace With His Dogs

Arjun Tendulkar says five dogs in Goa keep him calm and grounded.

Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, has revealed a surprising aspect of his personal life, saying he doesn’t have many friends from the cricketing world. In a candid conversation on a podcast, Arjun shared that most of his close friends are not cricketers and have little knowledge about the sport. Instead, he prefers a quieter personal life, spending much of his time at home in Goa with his five dogs, which he credits for helping him stay calm and grounded.

The young all-rounder, who recently moved from Mumbai Indians to Lucknow Super Giants ahead of the Indian Premier League 2026 season, is preparing for a fresh start after limited opportunities in his previous team.

Despite facing constant scrutiny and social media trolling due to the expectations attached to his famous surname, Arjun made it clear that he is not afraid of criticism. He remains focused on improving his game and carving out his own identity in professional cricket.

During the interaction, Arjun also spoke about his cricketing inspirations, naming Yuvraj Singh as one of his idols growing up, apart from his father. However, he humorously noted the difference in their playing styles, pointing out that Yuvraj was a spinner while he himself is a pace bowler.

With a new opportunity at Lucknow, Arjun will be aiming to establish himself, especially with a strong pace attack already featuring players like Mohammed Shami and Anrich Nortje. His all-round abilities, particularly with the bat in the lower order, could play a key role in his journey this season.
