Amelia Kerr Wins ICC Women’s Player Of The Month After Exceptional All-Round Performances

Amelia Kerr wins ICC Player of the Month after outstanding batting and bowling performances in March.

New Zealand women’s cricket team captain Amelia Kerr has been named the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for March after a dominant all-round performance against Zimbabwe and South Africa. The recognition comes soon after she took over leadership of New Zealand’s white-ball team from Sophie Devine, marking an impressive start to her captaincy tenure.

Kerr delivered a remarkable performance in the ODI series against Zimbabwe, where she picked up 16 wickets in just three matches, including a career-best spell of 7/34. Alongside her bowling success, she also contributed significantly with the bat, scoring 140 runs at an average of 46.67, making her one of the standout performers of the series.

Her form continued into the T20I series against South Africa, where she played a key role in New Zealand’s 4-1 series victory. Kerr amassed 276 runs across the series and further strengthened her reputation as one of the leading all-rounders in women’s cricket. Her performances also helped her rise to the No. 1 spot in the ICC Women’s T20I all-rounder rankings.

Kerr’s all-round contributions as both captain and player are expected to be crucial for New Zealand as they prepare for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England, beginning June 12, where they will aim to defend their title.
