Amid the festive cheers, the iconic actor shared exciting news about his highly anticipated upcoming film, tentatively titled Thalaivar 173, assuring everyone that it would be a full-fledged mass entertainer designed to thrill audiences across generations.

Addressing the media and fans, Rajinikanth revealed that shooting for the project, directed by Cibi Chakravarthi and produced under Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International banner, is set to commence in April 2026. He confidently stated, “Shooting is to begin in April this year. It will be a proper commercial entertainer,” sparking massive excitement among his global fanbase. The film marks a significant reunion between Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan after decades, with music composed by the talented Anirudh Ravichander.
