Rajasthan Launches 160 RSRTC Buses and Jaipur–Kathgodam Super Luxury Route
The ceremony took place at Amar Jawan Jyoti in Jaipur.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Saturday flagged off 160 new buses for the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) and launched a super luxury bus service connecting Jaipur to Kathgodam in Uttarakhand, emphasizing enhanced public transport for safer and more efficient travel.
The ceremony took place at Amar Jawan Jyoti in Jaipur, where Sharma highlighted the state's progress in modernizing transport infrastructure. "Our priority is ensuring facilities reach the last person in society. These buses will ease traffic pressure and provide better connectivity," he stated. The new Jaipur-Kathgodam route is designed to benefit pilgrims visiting Baba Neem Karoli Dham (Kainchi Dham), a key spiritual site.
Sharma noted that since last year, the government has expanded services to religious destinations including Ayodhya, Govardhan, Salasar Balaji, Ramdeora, Shrinathji, Shri Karni Mata, and Kaila Devi. He performed traditional rituals and inspected the fleet before the launch.
