Shot Three Times In The Head: Hyderabad Man Killed In Philadelphia Pizza Delivery Trap

Hyderabad man shot dead in Philadelphia during pizza delivery.

The family of Anshul Kuncha, a 28-year-old Indian national from Hyderabad who was shot dead in Philadelphia, has appealed for justice and assistance in repatriating his mortal remains to India. The incident, which occurred while Kuncha was working as a pizza delivery driver, has drawn attention both in India and among the Indian community in the United States.

Speaking after the tragedy, Kuncha’s sister expressed deep grief and questioned the circumstances that led to his death. She revealed that her brother had initially been reluctant to move to the United States but eventually did so in pursuit of better opportunities. In an emotional appeal, she urged parents to carefully consider the risks faced by young people living and working abroad.

“He didn't want to go to the US, but we sent him,” she said, describing the loss as devastating for the family. She also appealed to the Ministry of External Affairs to facilitate the return of her brother’s remains. Her remarks reflected the family’s anguish as they continue to seek answers about the incident.

According to reports, Kuncha worked part-time as a pizza delivery driver on weekends to supplement his income. On the day of the incident, he was allegedly called to deliver pizzas to a vacant residence at Raymond Rosen Homes, a housing complex in Philadelphia. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.

Surveillance footage reportedly captured by the Philadelphia Housing Authority shows Kuncha walking with the pizza order before being followed by two individuals wearing dark clothing and carrying backpacks. The footage has become a key part of the ongoing investigation as law enforcement officials work to identify those involved.

Kuncha’s sister has alleged that the delivery request was part of a deliberate plot to lure and kill her brother. She described the incident as a trap and claimed the family was informed that he had been shot multiple times before being left on the road. While investigators have not publicly confirmed those allegations, the case remains under active investigation, with family members demanding swift action and accountability for the killing.
