Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level roundtable discussion with CEOs and founders of leading artificial intelligence and deeptech startups at Seva Teerth, the newly inaugurated complex housing the Prime Minister's Office, on February 20, 2026. The meeting focused on the future of artificial intelligence, its global influence, and ways to harness it for population-scale challenges in India. Seva Teerth, recently renamed and shifted from the historic South Block as part of the Central Vista redevelopment, served as the venue for this engagement, symbolizing a modern approach to governance and innovation.

The roundtable brought together representatives from 16 prominent AI and deeptech companies, including Abridge, Adalat AI, BrainSightAI, Credo AI, Eka Care, Glean, Innogle, Invideo, Miko, Origin, Prophaze, Rasen, Rubrik, SatSure, Supernova, and Sypha AI. These startups operate across diverse sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, cybersecurity, space technology, education, and social empowerment. During the interaction, the leaders presented their innovations and ideas, highlighting how AI can address large-scale societal issues while ensuring inclusive growth and ethical deployment.

Prime Minister Modi emphasized the need for India-centric solutions, including stronger data governance to combat misinformation, development of AI tools in vernacular languages for broader accessibility, and applications in key areas like agriculture, environmental protection, healthcare, and higher education. He commended the startups for their contributions and noted India's rapid strides in the AI ecosystem, driven by its young talent and thriving startup environment.
