Rajasthan Newlywed Killed in Planned Hit-And-Run By Wife and Ex-Boyfriend
Rajasthan's Ashish was killed in a staged hit-and-run orchestrated by his wife and her ex-boyfriend.
A shocking murder case, dubbed “Honeymoon Murder 2.0” by investigators, has come to light after a man was killed in a hit-and-run incident that police allege was deliberately planned by his wife. What initially appeared to be a tragic road accident has now been reclassified as a premeditated killing following the arrest and interrogation of those involved.
According to police, the incident occurred when the man stepped out for a walk and was run over by a vehicle that fled the scene. Early reports treated the case as a routine hit-and-run, but inconsistencies in statements and circumstantial evidence prompted a deeper investigation. Authorities later uncovered links between the driver of the vehicle and the victim’s wife, raising suspicions of a conspiracy.
Investigators allege that the wife orchestrated the crime by hiring or convincing accomplices to carry out the killing, carefully timing the attack to make it appear accidental. Call records, financial transactions and location data reportedly played a key role in establishing the alleged plot. Police say the planning was aimed at avoiding immediate suspicion and misleading authorities.

The case has drawn comparisons to earlier high-profile “honeymoon murder” cases in which spouses were accused of killing their partners shortly after marriage. Law enforcement officials say such crimes often exploit trust within intimate relationships, making detection more challenging in the early stages. Family members of the deceased have demanded strict punishment, claiming the victim had no reason to suspect danger from his own spouse. They have also called for fast-track legal proceedings, saying justice must be delivered without delay given the gravity of the allegations.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible as they work to establish the full extent of the conspiracy. The accused remain in custody, and authorities have stated that charges will be framed based on forensic evidence and witness testimony, as the case moves towards trial.
