Fourteen-year-old batting prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi reacts calmly after surpassing Virat Kohli in Google searches.

India's 14-year-old batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has responded modestly to topping Google's Year in Search 2025 as the most-searched personality in India, surpassing established stars like Virat Kohli. The revelation came during a post-match interview following his explosive 171 off 95 balls in India's Under-19 Asia Cup opener against UAE on December 12, 2025, at the ICC Academy Ground. Suryavanshi's knock, featuring 14 sixes and nine fours, propelled India to a record 433/6 and a commanding 234-run victory.

When informed by the broadcaster that he had become India's most-searched individual for the year—ranking sixth globally in the "People" category—Suryavanshi emphasised maintaining focus on his cricket. "I don't pay attention to these things. I keep the focus on my game. Yes, I do hear about these developments, and it does feel nice. I look at it, feel good about it, and then move forward," he said, showcasing maturity beyond his years.

Suryavanshi's meteoric rise in 2025, including a standout IPL season with Rajasthan Royals where he became the youngest centurion in T20 cricket, multiple domestic records, and youth international exploits, fuelled his unprecedented online popularity. Google's annual report, highlighting breakout trends, placed the Bihar-born left-hander ahead of other cricketers and celebrities, reflecting his captivating performances and inspirational journey.
