Cristiano Ronaldo, Georgina Rodriguez Wore Gucci For Their August 11 Wedding
Ronaldo and Georgina's wedding outfits paid tribute to their Gucci store meeting.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez's wedding outfits carried a deeply personal connection to the beginning of their relationship, with both choosing Gucci for their August 11 wedding. The couple reportedly married at home exactly 10 years after their first meeting at a Gucci store on Madrid's Calle Serrano. Their choice of the Italian fashion house turned the wedding wardrobe into a tribute to the place where their relationship began, adding sentimental meaning to an otherwise glamorous celebration.
According to Vogue, Ronaldo first met Rodríguez in August 2016 when he visited the Madrid Gucci store with his six-year-old son, Cristiano Jr. Rodríguez, who was then 22, had recently returned to Spain after working as an au pair in England and was working as a sales assistant at the store. She was reportedly filling in for a colleague that day, even though she was not originally scheduled to work. Rodríguez later described the unexpected encounter as destiny, making the couple's decision to wear Gucci a decade later particularly symbolic.
For the wedding, Rodríguez wore a white silk faille skirt suit paired with matching satin shoes featuring Gucci's signature silver horsebit detail. Ronaldo opted for a custom light beige cotton suit with matching custom loafers. Their children also wore coordinated Gucci outfits, extending the fashion house's presence across the family's wedding-day wardrobe. Gucci artistic director Demna described dressing the couple for the occasion as especially meaningful because their relationship had begun inside one of the brand's stores.

The sentimental fashion choice was accompanied by elaborate jewellery for Rodríguez. The model and entrepreneur had been wearing a large oval-cut diamond engagement ring for about a year before the wedding. According to Vogue, she planned to pair it with a Chopard Garden of Kalahari necklace featuring a D-flawless 50-carat brilliant-cut diamond at its centre. The jewellery added a traditional element of luxury to a wedding that otherwise focused heavily on intimate family memories and personal symbolism.
The couple also chose a setting that reflected their family life rather than staging the ceremony at a grand wedding venue. Ronaldo and Rodríguez exchanged vows in the living room of their home, the same space where their family regularly shares meals. Rodríguez said she wanted their children to remember the location as the place where something special happened in their parents' lives. The decision reflected the couple's preference for making the occasion meaningful through family memories rather than focusing solely on grandeur.
While the August 11 ceremony was held privately at home, the couple are reportedly planning a larger celebration with friends and family. Their wedding wardrobe, however, ensured that even the intimate ceremony carried a strong connection to their shared history. From the Gucci outfits to the family setting and Rodríguez's jewellery, several elements of the occasion were chosen to connect the couple's present with milestones from their decade-long relationship.
