Aamir Khan’s 5 Must-Watch Cameos Before Happy Patel Release

Aamir Khan makes special appearances in Happy Patel alongside five memorable cameos from his past films.

Aamir Khan Productions’ latest release, Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, hit theatres on January 16, starring Vir Das in his directorial debut and featuring Imran Khan’s return to the big screen after nearly a decade. The film also includes special appearances by both Imran and Aamir Khan, alongside an ensemble cast of Mona Singh, Sharib Hashmi, and Mithila Palkar.

Over the years, Aamir has made several memorable cameo appearances that, despite limited screen time, have left a lasting impact. One such instance is in Coolie, where he appears as Dahaa in the climax, interacting briefly with Rajinikanth’s character. His 10-minute cameo received enthusiastic applause from audiences and added a surprising twist to the film’s ending.

In the emotional drama Salaam Venky, Aamir Khan appears as a vision of Kajol’s character, Sujata. The film, centered on a mother supporting her son diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, uses Aamir’s cameo to enhance the emotional depth of key sequences, leaving a subtle yet memorable impression.

Aamir’s blink-and-miss cameo in Delhi Belly, appearing during the song I Hate You, became an instant talking point despite the brief screen time. Similarly, in Zoya Akhtar’s Luck By Chance, he plays himself in a short scene shooting a fictional Rajkumar Hirani film, cleverly referencing 3 Idiots and delighting industry insiders and audiences alike.

Even in early 1990s classics like Damini, Aamir made memorable cameo appearances. During the song Bin Sajan Jhoola Jhooloon, he performs on stage as himself, blending promotion with entertainment. These appearances highlight his knack for transforming brief roles into unforgettable moments, proving that even a few minutes on screen can create lasting impact.

From Coolie to Happy Patel, Aamir Khan’s cameos reflect his unique ability to leave audiences engaged and surprised, making even the smallest roles a reason to watch and rewatch films.
