Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Orders All Land Disputes to Be Resolved Within 30 Days
Uttarakhand CM orders all land disputes to be resolved within a month.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday issued a strict directive to officials to resolve all land disputes across the state within a month, emphasizing that pending cases must be brought to a “zero level” through an intensive campaign. The announcement underscores the government’s focus on citizen welfare and administrative efficiency.
Dhami instructed Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan and Director General of Police Deepam Seth to ensure that disputes in every district are settled within the 30-day deadline. The CM highlighted that unresolved land issues directly impact ordinary citizens’ lives and can potentially disrupt law and order as well as social harmony.
To achieve the ambitious target, the Chief Minister proposed weekly progress reviews by the chief secretary. This regular monitoring, he noted, would help identify bottlenecks and allow corrective actions to keep the campaign on track, ensuring accountability at every administrative level. Sensitive cases, Dhami stressed, require special attention. Officials were warned against negligence, and the CM emphasized that all efforts must be transparent, fair, and equitable, leaving no room for favoritism or delay in justice delivery.

The state government plans to form committees at the tehsil level, led by Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs), including Circle Officers and officials from the consolidation department. These committees will facilitate coordination between revenue, police, and administrative departments to expedite dispute resolution.
Dhami expressed confidence that the campaign would provide quick relief to citizens, enhance the efficiency of the state administration, and strengthen public trust. The initiative reflects Uttarakhand’s commitment to resolving longstanding issues that directly affect the daily lives of its residents.
