TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee Moves Calcutta High Court Against Account Freeze

Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee approached the Calcutta High Court on Monday challenging the alleged freezing of his personal bank account by a private bank. Banerjee’s lawyer sought an urgent hearing of the petition, citing the TMC leader’s planned overseas travel for medical reasons and stating that the trip has been permitted by the Supreme Court.
