#BiharResults: “Tiger Abhi Zinda Hai” vs “Alvida Chacha” Bihar Witnesses High-Stakes Poster Battle
High-stakes verbal duel erupts on Patna’s walls ahead of results.
As Bihar braces for the announcement of assembly election results today, a sharp poster war has broken out between the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the opposition Mahagathbandhan, reflecting the intense political rivalry in the state. Supporters of the Janata Dal (United) have put up large banners across Patna and several districts carrying the slogan “Tiger Abhi Zinda Hai” along with a prominent photograph of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The posters assert that Nitish Kumar, Bihar’s longest-serving chief minister, remains a dominant force and is poised to secure an unprecedented fifth term.
In a swift counter-offensive, posters bearing the words “Alvida Chacha” appeared outside the Rashtriya Janata Dal headquarters in Patna. The artwork depicts Nitish Kumar in a farewell pose, accompanied by caricatures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, implying that the BJP leadership is ready to move on from its long-standing ally. The term “Chacha” is a familiar reference to Nitish Kumar in Bihar’s political discourse and the poster signals the opposition’s desire to end his extended tenure.
The exchange of posters has dominated public spaces in the state capital and beyond, with both sides using bold imagery and direct messaging to influence last-minute perceptions on counting day. Photographs and videos of these banners have spread rapidly on social media platforms, amplifying the confrontation between the two alliances.

Most exit polls have forecasted a clear majority for the NDA, projecting approximately 147 seats for the coalition and positioning the Bharatiya Janata Party as the single-largest party. The Mahagathbandhan is estimated to secure around 90 seats, markedly lower than its performance in the previous assembly election. However, RJD leader and Mahagathbandhan chief ministerial face Tejashwi Yadav has rejected these projections, asserting that the opposition alliance will cross the majority mark comfortably and form the next government.
With counting of votes underway across Bihar following a record voter turnout of 67.13 percent, the outcome will determine whether Nitish Kumar extends his record as the state’s longest-serving chief minister or if the Mahagathbandhan succeeds in bringing an end to the NDA’s tenure. The result will have far-reaching implications for both state and national politics.
