Tejashwi Yadav Accuses NDA MP, Husband of Dual Voter IDs

NDA MP’s Dual Voter IDs Exposed

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Bihar’s Leader of Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, has sparked a political firestorm by alleging that Vaishali MP Veena Devi, a member of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), and her husband, JD(U) MLC Dinesh Singh, each possess two Electors Photo Identity Cards (EPIC). The accusations, shared via posts on X with screenshots purportedly from Bihar’s draft electoral rolls during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), raise serious questions about electoral integrity.

Veena Devi, a second-term MP elected on the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) ticket led by Union Minister Chirag Paswan, is allegedly registered as a voter in both her own Vaishali Lok Sabha constituency and the Muzaffarpur assembly segment. Her EPIC cards, bearing numbers UT01134543 and GSB1037894, reportedly list different ages and correspond to two different Lok Sabha constituencies. Yadav claims she submitted two separate enumeration forms with distinct signatures during the SIR process, both verified by the Election Commission (EC).

Similarly, Yadav alleges that Dinesh Singh holds two EPIC cards (REM0933267 and UT01134527), enabling him to vote in two different Lok Sabha and assembly constituencies. “How did she end up with two different votes, with two different ID cards in two different Lok Sabha constituencies, with two different ages in the new draft list published by the Election Commission?” Yadav questioned on X, labeling it a “clear case of fraud, manipulation, and collusion” by the EC to favor the BJP-NDA.

The RJD leader further accused the EC of inaction, sarcastically referring to it as the “Troll Commission” and demanding accountability. He questioned whether the EC would issue separate notices to the couple for their alleged dual registrations. This follows Yadav’s earlier claims on Wednesday, accusing Muzaffarpur Mayor Nirmala Devi and her relatives of similar dual voter ID violations.

The allegations have intensified Bihar’s ongoing SIR controversy, with Yadav hinting at a potential election boycott, raising concerns about the fairness of the upcoming assembly polls.
