Stalin Explodes: “Worse Than Terrorism!” Over Bihar Voter Scam

Stalin slams Bihar voter deletions as worse than terrorism at opposition rally.

In a fiery speech delivered in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, on August 27, 2025, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin denounced the deletion of voters' names from electoral rolls as an act "worse than terrorism." Speaking at a rally during the 'Voter Adhikar Yatra,' Stalin joined opposition leaders, including Congress figures Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, RJD's Tejashwi Yadav, and CPI(ML) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, to protest the special intensive revision of Bihar's electoral rolls.

Addressing a large crowd in north Bihar's largest town, Stalin, the DMK president, spoke in Tamil, with his words translated into Hindi, earning enthusiastic applause. He accused the Election Commission of acting as a "remote-controlled puppet" and raised concerns about the fairness of the electoral process, pointing to the removal of approximately 65 lakh names from the draft electoral rolls.

Stalin praised Rahul Gandhi's resolve, noting that the Congress leader could not be intimidated despite challenges from Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to provide evidence of electoral irregularities. Highlighting the camaraderie between Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, Stalin described their bond as transcending typical political alliances, likening it to a deep friendship.

The Tamil Nadu CM expressed confidence in the opposition INDIA bloc's prospects, asserting that a free and fair election would lead to the defeat of the BJP-led NDA in the upcoming Bihar assembly polls. He vowed to return to Bihar for the swearing-in ceremony of the INDIA bloc government, underscoring his belief in their imminent victory.

Reflecting on the historical significance of Bihar, Stalin noted that it was the birthplace of the INDIA bloc, which successfully reduced the BJP's Lok Sabha tally to 240 seats in the previous year's elections, despite the ruling party's claim of securing over 400. He also paid tribute to the enduring friendship between his late father, K Karunanidhi, and RJD president Lalu Prasad, praising Tejashwi Yadav for continuing the fight for social justice against BJP pressures.

The 'Voter Adhikar Yatra,' a campaign highlighting concerns over electoral roll revisions, has drawn national attention, with Stalin emphasizing that the entire country is watching Bihar's struggle for fair elections. His provocative comparison of voter deletion to terrorism underscores the opposition's growing alarm over democratic processes in the state.
