Shivpal Yadav Terms BJP’s Vision 2047 ‘Empty’
SP leader slams BJP for ignoring 2025’s pressing issues.
Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Yadav fiercely criticized the BJP government’s “Vision 2047” plan, unveiled during the Uttar Pradesh Assembly’s Monsoon session, calling it a “fictional” blueprint that sidesteps today’s urgent challenges. Speaking ahead of a special 24-hour assembly debate on the document, Yadav accused the BJP of peddling dreams for 2047 while failing to address the state’s current crises.
In a scathing post on X, Yadav labeled the BJP as “traders of tomorrow’s dreams” with no solutions for 2025’s problems. He highlighted the unfulfilled 2022 promise to double farmers’ incomes, noting that farmers are now forced to sell produce at half price. “This isn’t a Kisan Credit Card; it’s a Kisan Credit Bluff,” he remarked. Yadav also ridiculed the BJP’s pledge for jobs by 2047, sarcastically noting that today’s unemployed youth would be “elderly jobseekers” in 22 years.
The SP leader further attacked the vision’s promise of digital hospitals, pointing out that current government facilities lack basic stretchers, with patients receiving saline drips under trees. On crime, he slammed the BJP’s claim of a crime-free state by 2047, alleging that in 2025, criminals are treated with “guard-of-honour” status. “The BJP’s Amrit Kaal is an Apradh Kaal,” Yadav quipped, referring to an “era of crime.”

Yadav also questioned the promise of smart classrooms, noting that children in 2025 study on broken benches in what he called “start-stop-start classrooms.” He accused the BJP of rebranding Samajwadi Party projects as their own and dismissed their poverty elimination goal by 2047 as a “plan to keep the poor hungry.” Calling Vision 2047 a “political instalment scheme” that recycles promises before elections, he demanded accountability for 2025’s realities instead of distant slogans.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, defending the vision, described it as a comprehensive action plan for a developed, self-reliant Uttar Pradesh by 2047, aligned with India’s national goals. Prepared with expert input, the plan is set for extensive discussion in the ongoing four-day session. However, Yadav’s sharp critique has fueled debates, with the public demanding immediate solutions over long-term promises.
