Samrat Choudhary Speaks On EBC Welfare At BJP Party Conference

Samrat Choudhary assures continued BJP support for EBC community at conference.

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on June 22 reiterated the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government’s commitment to the welfare and empowerment of the Extremely Backward Class (EBC) community during a BJP-organised conference in Patna. The event focused on outreach to the EBC population, a significant social group in Bihar’s political landscape.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister positioned himself as a strong advocate for the EBC community and assured continued support for their development. Beginning his speech with references to socialist icon Karpoori Thakur, he stated that his government remained dedicated to safeguarding the interests of the community and ensuring that their socio-economic concerns were addressed through targeted policies and governance measures.

Choudhary also highlighted the government’s focus on law and order, asserting that strict action against criminal activities would continue across the state. He reiterated the administration’s goal of making Bihar crime-free, warning that individuals involved in unlawful acts would not be spared, regardless of their influence or background.

The Chief Minister further referred to the recent NEET examination controversy, stating that the examination process had been completed successfully and that prompt action was taken once irregularities were reported. He said he had been personally monitoring developments and stressed that those responsible for any malpractice would be identified and prosecuted under the law.

In addition, Choudhary underscored administrative accountability, stating that government officials failing to complete legitimate public work within stipulated timelines would face disciplinary measures, including suspension if necessary. He also used the platform to criticise opposition parties, particularly the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), while highlighting welfare initiatives such as sanitation programs, healthcare coverage under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, and the conferment of the Bharat Ratna on Karpoori Thakur. Bihar Minister Pramod Chandravanshi also addressed the conference, praising central and state welfare schemes and urging members of the EBC community to actively participate in politics and public life.
