RSS Chief Says India Is A Global Centre Of Goodwill And Social Harmony
RSS chief lauds India as a global centre for goodwill and social harmony, emphasizing unity and positive image.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief, Dattatreya Hosabale, has described India as a “global centre of goodwill and social harmony,” highlighting the nation’s cultural diversity and history of communal coexistence. His remarks were made during a recent address at an RSS event attended by senior leaders and volunteers.
Hosabale emphasized that India’s unique social fabric, built on centuries of pluralism, continues to inspire nations worldwide. He pointed to examples of community cooperation, voluntary social initiatives, and grassroots movements that foster harmony across religious and linguistic lines.
The RSS chief also underlined the role of civic engagement and volunteerism in strengthening the bonds of society. According to him, organizations and citizens committed to social welfare play a pivotal role in sustaining India’s image as a country rooted in goodwill and mutual respect.

In his address, Hosabale urged young Indians to actively participate in social initiatives and contribute to nation-building, stressing that collective effort is essential for maintaining harmony and addressing contemporary challenges such as poverty, inequality, and communal tensions.
Critics of the RSS note that while the organization promotes social service and cultural pride, its ideological positions often generate debate in the context of India’s secular democracy. Nonetheless, leaders like Hosabale continue to emphasize narratives of unity, moral responsibility, and national integration in their public statements.
India’s standing as a global hub of cultural and social cooperation remains a recurring theme in political and civil discourse. As the nation navigates complex domestic and international challenges, voices promoting goodwill and social harmony are seen as reinforcing India’s role on the global stage.
