Rohini Acharya Slams Tejashwi: True Laluwadis Must Question Party Failures

Rohini Acharya criticizes Tejashwi Yadav for not introspecting on RJD’s Bihar poll performance, urging true loyalists to question leadership.

Ahead of the Rashtriya Janata Dal’s (RJD) national executive meeting scheduled to be held in Patna, Rohini Acharya, daughter of party founder Lalu Prasad Yadav, has launched a sharp public attack on the party leadership, indirectly targeting her brother and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.

Rohini Acharya, whose strained relationship with Tejashwi Yadav became public following the Bihar assembly election results, said the party’s leadership needs to introspect rather than evade responsibility. Her remarks come at a sensitive time for the RJD as it prepares for internal deliberations after electoral setbacks.

In a post on social media platform X, Acharya said that those genuinely committed to the party and its ideology would question the decisions taken by those currently in charge. She criticized what she described as attempts to avoid accountability and alleged mistreatment of party members who raise concerns in the organization’s interest.

“Whoever is a true Laluwadi, whoever has selflessly worked for the party that struggles for the oppressed, whoever wants to take Lalu Yadav’s political legacy and ideology forward, will question those responsible for the party’s current situation,” she wrote. The statement was widely interpreted as a direct challenge to the present leadership structure.

The public remarks have reignited discussions around internal dissent within the RJD, particularly following the party’s performance in the Bihar polls. Rohini Acharya and Tejashwi Yadav were reported to have had a serious disagreement after the election outcome, drawing significant political and media attention.

The RJD leadership has so far not officially responded to Acharya’s comments. With the national executive meeting approaching, her remarks add to the pressure on the party to address internal differences and chart a clear course for the future while preserving the political legacy of Lalu Prasad Yadav.
