Rijiju Blasts Rahul Gandhi for ‘Parroting Pakistan’ in Explosive Pre-Parliament Showdown!

Rijiju slams Rahul Gandhi for echoing Pakistan’s narrative on Operation Sindoor.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju unleashed a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on July 18, accusing the Leader of the Opposition of echoing Pakistan’s narrative on Operation Sindoor and undermining India’s national interests. Speaking to PTI ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, set to run from July 21 to August 21, Rijiju called for Gandhi to show more maturity and intellectual rigor to “at least match” Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Rijiju slammed Gandhi for initially supporting Operation Sindoor, only to later demand de-escalation and question India’s losses in the conflict, aligning with what the minister called Pakistan’s “propaganda.” “When the Leader of the Opposition fuels our enemy’s narrative, it harms our nation,” Rijiju said, drawing a sharp line between internal debates and external posturing. He emphasized that while democratic disagreements are valid, broadcasting an adversary’s perspective is “unacceptable.”

With the government gearing up for a packed legislative agenda, Rijiju accused opposition parties of trying to “hijack Parliament” by demanding disproportionate speaking time. “Democracy means space for all, not just the opposition,” he asserted, vowing that the government’s majority would ensure fair proceedings. He welcomed the “fireworks” of India’s vibrant democracy but urged constructive debates over disruptions.

Rijiju praised Modi’s leadership for uniting the nation during the conflict, contrasting it with what he called the opposition’s attempts to tarnish India’s global image. “We need an opposition leader who matches the seriousness of our Prime Minister,” he said, signaling a stormy session ahead as the government pushes its legislative priorities.

The extended Monsoon Session, originally set to end on August 12, promises heated exchanges as Rijiju’s remarks set the stage for a high-stakes parliamentary battle.
