Rahul & Tejashwi’s Bold Bike Ride Shakes Up Bihar Politics!

Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav ride through Araria for voter rights yatra.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav captured public attention by riding motorcycles through the streets of Araria in Bihar’s Purnea district as part of the ongoing ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra.’ The 1,300-km campaign, launched on August 17 from Sasaram, aims to cover over 20 districts in 16 days, culminating in a grand rally in Patna on September 1. Crowds lined the streets of Araria to witness the two prominent leaders, who are rallying support ahead of Bihar’s upcoming assembly elections.

The yatra, a key initiative of the INDIA bloc, underscores efforts to engage with voters on critical issues. Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, and Yadav are scheduled to address a joint press conference in Araria later today, joined by other INDIA bloc leaders. The campaign emphasizes voter rights and socio-economic empowerment, with a focus on countering alleged electoral malpractices.

Speaking at a rally in Katihar district on August 23, Gandhi criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), accusing them of undermining opportunities for marginalized communities and threatening the Constitution. “The BJP and RSS believe that Dalits must not be emancipated, the extremely backward classes must not move up the social ladder, and women should not be given more freedom,” Gandhi alleged, highlighting attempts to manipulate votes in favor of the BJP.
