Priyanka Gandhi’s Office Issues Warning Over Deepfake Investment Videos
Office warns against fake investment endorsements using Priyanka Gandhi’s identity.
Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has cautioned people against misleading and fabricated videos allegedly featuring her and urging viewers to invest money in real estate projects or other ventures. Her office issued the warning after AI-generated videos using her face and voice surfaced across multiple social media platforms.
Priyanka Gandhi’s office urged her followers and members of the public not to click on such posts or respond to requests made through the AI-generated content. It warned that the videos were being used to deceive people and lure them into fraudulent investment schemes.
Issuing a scam alert on Instagram, the Congress MP’s office said fake videos using AI-generated images and voice resembling Priyanka Gandhi were circulating on WhatsApp, Instagram and other social media platforms. The posts allegedly asked people to invest money, prompting the office to clarify that the content was fraudulent.

The office further advised people to block such posts immediately and report them to the relevant authorities for appropriate action. The warning comes amid increasing instances of scammers using artificial intelligence to impersonate public figures and create apparently authentic content to gain the trust of potential victims.
Deepfake technology can be used to digitally simulate a person’s face and voice, allowing scammers to create misleading content without the person’s consent. Such fabricated material can then be circulated online to promote fraudulent schemes, including investment offers that falsely appear to have the backing of well-known personalities.
Similar investment scams involving AI-generated content featuring prominent personalities have emerged in recent years. Deepfake videos involving industrialists such as Infosys founder Narayana Murthy and Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani have also been reported, with fraudsters using manipulated content to attract people towards purported investment opportunities and potentially cause financial losses.
