Prashant Kishor Says Bihar’s Real ‘X Factor’ Isn’t Women But Migrant Workers And Youth
Prashant Kishor claims migrant workers and youth, not women, will decide Bihar election outcome.
Political strategist-turned-leader Prashant Kishor has said that it is the youth and migrant workers, not women voters, who are emerging as the deciding force in the ongoing Bihar assembly elections. Speaking in Supaul on Saturday, the Jan Suraaj Party founder asserted that these two groups are determined to bring political change to the state.
“Migrant workers are returning home in large numbers to vote along with their families. In the past, most of them supported the NDA because they had no alternative. This time, they are voting for Jan Suraaj,” Kishor told reporters. He added that the Prime Minister’s earlier strategy of invoking fear over the RJD’s ‘jungle raj’ no longer resonates with the electorate.
Kishor argued that the political landscape in Bihar has shifted, with more voters seeking new leadership. “People who once feared the return of ‘jungle raj’ now see a viable alternative in Jan Suraaj. The ground sentiment has completely changed,” he said.

Addressing the Congress party’s ‘vote chori’ allegations, Kishor dismissed them as irrelevant. “Ask anyone on the street. Nobody’s name has been deleted from the electoral rolls in areas that went to the polls in the first phase,” he said, suggesting that opposition parties were deflecting from more pressing election issues.
As Bihar’s election battle intensifies, Kishor’s comments highlight his strategy to mobilize disenfranchised and economically displaced sections of society. With thousands of migrant workers returning home and an increasingly restless youth demographic, the Jan Suraaj leader appears confident of rattling the state’s traditional political order.
