PM Modi Wishes Speedy Recovery To Hospitalised UP Congress Chief Ajay Rai

Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai has been hospitalised in Varanasi after reportedly experiencing sudden health complications late Thursday night. According to party sources, he was admitted to a private hospital after complaining of severe weakness and irregular blood pressure fluctuations. Medical teams immediately initiated treatment and placed him under continuous observation. His condition is currently described as stable, though doctors are closely monitoring his recovery and conducting further diagnostic tests.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed concern over Rai’s health on Friday through a post on social media platform X. He said he had received news of the Congress leader’s illness and prayed for his speedy recovery. The message drew attention across political circles, highlighting an unusual moment of public concern from the Prime Minister for a senior opposition leader. Political observers noted that such gestures often reflect broader institutional respect during medical emergencies.

According to Congress party officials in Uttar Pradesh, Ajay Rai had been actively engaged in organisational meetings, public outreach, and constituency-level activities in recent days. They indicated that his demanding schedule may have contributed to physical exhaustion. He reportedly felt unwell on Thursday evening before his condition worsened, prompting family members and colleagues to rush him to hospital for immediate medical attention.

Ajay Rai, a prominent political figure from eastern Uttar Pradesh and former MLA from Varanasi, has played a key role in strengthening the Congress organisation in the state in recent years. His hospitalisation comes at a time of increased political activity in Uttar Pradesh, with parties preparing for upcoming electoral and organisational challenges. Meanwhile, hospital authorities are expected to release a detailed medical bulletin once further test results are available, while the party remains hopeful of his early recovery.
