PM to launch Rs 1,140 crore projects, honour unity in two-day spectacle.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, on October 30, 2025, to launch a two-day program blending national tribute with transformative development. The visit marks Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, celebrating Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary, while inaugurating infrastructure worth over Rs 1,140 crore. At 5:15 p.m., Modi will flag off electric buses, signaling a push for green urban transport in the Narmada region. By 6:30 p.m., he will dedicate and lay foundation stones for 18 projects, including Birsa Munda Tribal University, a hospitality district, ecological walls, skill corridors, and enhanced tourist walkways, all designed to elevate Ekta Nagar as a global heritage and innovation hub.

The ceremonial highlight follows with the release of a Rs 150 commemorative coin and a special postage stamp honoring Patel’s role in unifying India. These symbolic gestures, set against the Statue of Unity, reinforce the theme of national cohesion. Modi will also unveil Vaman Vriksha Vatika, a sacred botanical garden, and smart infrastructure like e-bus depots and travelators, ensuring seamless visitor experiences. The projects extend to sports complexes, children’s parks, and rainforest conservation, reflecting a balanced vision of cultural preservation and modern amenities in the tribal-dominated area.

October 31 dawns with solemn reverence as Modi pays floral tributes to Patel at 8 a.m., followed by the Ekta Diwas pledge administered to thousands. The grand parade, featuring BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, and state police contingents, will showcase indigenous dog breeds, mounted bands, and motorcycle stunts. Five Shaurya Chakra and 16 BSF gallantry medal recipients will be felicitated for anti-Naxal and counter-terrorism valor. Ten thematic tableaux from NSG, NDRF, and diverse states will depict 'Unity in Diversity,' while 900 artistes perform classical dances, turning the venue into a vibrant celebration of India’s pluralistic identity.

The program underscores Gujarat’s evolution under Modi’s vision, from a pilgrimage site to a model of sustainable, inclusive development.

Through infrastructure, tribute, and dialogue, the two-day event cements Ekta Nagar’s stature while reinforcing national unity, with every initiative echoing Sardar Patel’s enduring call for an integrated, aspirational India.
