PM Modi Prays for Bharat’s Peak Prosperity on Mahashivratri
PM Modi and other leaders extend Mahashivratri greetings wishing prosperity for Bharat.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt greetings to the nation on the sacred occasion of Mahashivratri, invoking the blessings of Lord Shiva for the well-being of every citizen and the prosperity of the country. In a message shared on X, he wished that “Adidev Mahadev” shower His grace upon all and expressed hope that Bharatvarsh would sit enthroned at the peak of prosperity. His message emphasized spiritual strength as a foundation for national growth.
Droupadi Murmu also conveyed her warm wishes to citizens across the country. In her message, she prayed for Lord Shiva’s continued blessings and expressed hope that India would steadily advance on the path of peace and progress. The President highlighted the spiritual significance of the festival and its message of inner transformation and collective harmony.
Echoing similar sentiments, Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended his greetings, praying for divine grace to guide the nation toward sustained development. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also offered prayers for global peace and harmony. He emphasized unity, security, and continuous progress as guiding principles for the nation under Lord Shiva’s blessings.

Mahashivratri, one of the most revered Hindu festivals, commemorates the divine union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Devotees observe fasts, perform special pujas, and participate in night-long vigils dedicated to the worship of Mahadev. The festival symbolizes spiritual awakening, self-discipline, and devotion, drawing millions into temples and sacred spaces across the country.
From the early hours of the morning, long queues of devotees have been seen outside major Shiva temples nationwide. Special rituals, abhisheks, and holy dips are being conducted with elaborate administrative and security arrangements in place to ensure smooth darshan. The atmosphere across India reflects deep faith and collective celebration, as chants of “Har Har Mahadev” echo through temple towns and cities alike.
