Prime Minister Narendra Modi was showered with praise by the NDA parliamentary party on Tuesday for his government’s swift and forceful response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack through the now-celebrated Operation Sindoor. In only their second meeting since forming the government in June 2024, the BJP-led alliance gathered in New Delhi and erupted in chants of Bharat Mata Ki Jai as they lauded Modi’s leadership in the face of national security threats.
The military action under Operation Sindoor, which involved precision strikes on terror launchpads across Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and parts of Pakistan, was described by government officials as a “game-changer” in the region’s ongoing battle against terrorism. According to sources, the operation successfully neutralized several key terror elements, showcasing India’s capacity for rapid and strategic military response.
Senior BJP leaders and coalition partners praised Modi’s unwavering resolve and the clarity of India’s zero-tolerance policy toward terrorism. They asserted that the operation had not only dismantled threats emanating from across the border but had also delivered a strong geopolitical message. The NDA's resounding support underscored a renewed emphasis on national security and India’s rising stature as a powerful and assertive nation in the global fight against terror.
