OUT OF HERE!! Mayawati Expels Akash Anand from BSP

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has expelled her nephew, Akash Anand, from the BSP today.

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has expelled her nephew, Akash Anand, from the BSP today. This follows her decision yesterday to relieve him of all party responsibilities, including his role as National Coordinator. The decision, announced today has left onlookers puzzled as to what could be driving this hot-cold relationship.

In a series of posts on social media, Mayawati detailed the reasons behind Akash’s expulsion, pointing to his persistent ties with his father-in-law, Ashok Siddharth, a former BSP leader expelled on February 12, 2025, for alleged anti-party activities. She accused Siddharth of exerting undue influence over Akash, urging him to demonstrate remorse and maturity—qualities she found lacking. Instead, Mayawati described Akash’s lengthy response as “selfish, arrogant, and non-missionary,” reflecting Siddharth’s sway rather than the BSP’s ethos. “In the interest of the self-respect movement of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and the discipline of Shri Kanshiram ji, Akash Anand is expelled from the party,” she declared, aligning the decision with the BSP’s foundational principles.

This expulsion follows a turbulent timeline for Akash. On May 7, 2024, during the Lok Sabha elections, Mayawati removed him as National Coordinator and her successor, citing immaturity after he faced legal action for inflammatory speeches. He was reinstated on June 23, 2024, only to be ousted again now.
